The Barnsley Lib Dems achieved a breakthrough in this years local election and were the only party to win seats from Labour.
We now have 7 councillors in the Town Hall, making us the official opposition to Labour.
Barnsley Lib Dems have Councillors and campaigners who get involved in their community and get things done. We are intent on challenging Labour in the Town Hall and getting things done for residents. Lib Dem councillors always listen to residents and keep in touch with regular newsletters and email.
We think that our local council should be open, transparent and involve the community in local decisions.
Our role is to shine a light on the workings of the Labour controlled Town Hall, to challenge their decisions and hold them to account.
Our Lib Dem Councillors represent everyone in their communities.
We aim to keep residents informed all year round about what is happening in the area. People can contact us about any local issues.
We represent you and we are your voice in the Town Hall however you voted.
Unlike other Yorkshire councils, Barnsley do not allow the public to ask questions at the Town Hall full council meetings. If you have a question that you would like asking at these meetings then please get in touch with us.
Can you help us? Come and join a winning team.
You will have seen how busy we are throughout the year and we intend to keep this up. Would you like to get involved?
