Road Safety on Carr Green Lane

Let’s take action BEFORE there is a serious injury or worse.

Before the lockdown we surveyed residents to identify road safety
hotspots. We had a big reaction and thanks to everyone who responded.

Road safety concerns on Carr Green Lane have been raised by many residents and our local neighbourhood policing team are also worried.
The problem is in relation to the bend up the hill from the new housing development. A combination of increased traffic volumes and resident vehicles parked around the bend are causing the problem.
We have heard of accidents and near misses in the location.

I am asking you to support this petition which will be submitted to Barnsley Council requesting the council to visit the location and put in place measures to make the situation safer for motorists and residents.

This is the best way for us to make progress on road safety in this area.
It is up to us to get behind this and attract attention to problems in our villages.
