Peter lives in Dodworth with his wife Linda. They have four children who have grown up in the town, and seven grandchildren.
Peter is a retired council worker, training in Barnsley’s environmental health department before taking up a management position at Wakefield Council.
In his spare time, Peter enjoys playing golf and is also a season ticket holder at Oakwell.
Elected in 2019, Peter is particularly concerned about protecting the green spaces in and around Dodworth Ward.
Peter was also one of the original Penny Pie Park campaigners. He was opposing Barnsley Councils plans to replace it with a 3 lane roundabout back in August 2018 and is now carrying on that campaign within the the Town Hall.
