Central Barnsley and Monk Bretton
Building a Better Barnsley
People in Barnsley are sick of Labour taking them for granted.
We hear over and over again from people that say Labour councillors have been in office for so long that they no longer listen to us and they just take our votes for granted.
We have 12 Barnsley Lib Dem councillors now and we are the official opposition to Labour in the Town Hall.
We have built a reputation of listening to residents, keeping in touch and getting things done for residents in Kingstone, Darton, Dodworth, Mapplewell and Pogmoor.
With your support there is no reason why we can't do the same here in Central Barnsley.
We organised a survey here to find out what residents thought about our area.
Many of you replied that you were concerned about crime, antisocial behaviour and the effect of drugs on the area.
We have taken this on board and will be following up on these concerns.
We understand that people may have different views on national politics, but we urge you to consider supporting people who work together to make real change happen here in our community rather than those with one eye on Westminster.
We will be your strong independent voice in Barnsley Town Hall.
